Shake Shack

I've had great experiences at this location of Shake Shack. They have a gluten-free bun, and they will activate an allergy protocol to prepare your burger. I make sure to order at the register with a real person at the counter (not one of the self checkout computers at the entrance) so I can explain what I need and ask questions. They have been very helpful and knowledgeable.

The fryer is shared, so I haven't gotten fries. And the Shacksauce has both spices and natural flavors, with no indication of gluten-free or not, so I skip that and just use ketchup. They have an allergen list online, so I double check that to be sure. I loved Shake Shack before diagnosis, and it's delightful to still get to enjoy it!

Gluten allergy stickers were used but didn’t amount to much, girlfriend got glutened and became very unwell on a cross-Atlantic flight. We were told there was a separate fryer for fries but suspect there was not…

I ordered at the kiosk. It wouldn’t read the chips on any of my credit or debit cards. I tried the card that pays by tapping. Still didn’t work. I tried to flag down one of the multiple workers standing around in the back to no avail. I walked out hungry.

Very sensitive to cross contamination and have never had issues here! Wish I could eat the fries (no dedicated fryer) but the burgers are solid.
