Mission BBQ is a growing BBQ chain with a heavy veterans theme. They even play the national anthem every day at noon. Anyway, the BBQ is good, assuming your not comparing to BBQ from your local NC, TX, TN, KS place. They have a gluten free menu, which is basically their regular menu less the sandwiches and 1 BBQ sauce, the TX one. Staff is well aware and will remind you if the TX sauce being gluten containing. Good place.

The staff were very knowledgeable about celiac and had a gf menu. When I ordered, the cashier called back to the kitchen "gf coming through" which helped me to feel confident that my meal was safe. BUT, the sauces were not safe. The cashier listed 1 sauce that was not gf, and I didn't eat that sauce. However, I ate the other sauces and ended up having a reaction. I then looked at their online menu and saw that many of their sauces are not confirmed gluten free because they "may have soy sauce that contains gluten". I do recommend eating here, but be careful with the sauces.

Good food, Collar greens have gluten in them so beware of them, most other menu items are obvious.

Read the gf menu here first. They may not have one at the register and the line grows fast.

Great BBQ, dedicated fryer for fries! And they have a menu for GF. Portions are very generous!
Maybe the best gf place AND the best BBQ I’ve had. Ever. Just finished my 2nd meal here and very impressed. Their gf protocol is stellar. Change gloves. Dedicated fryer. Most things naturally gf. So lots of choices. I’m a fan.

First thing is first. The food is absolutely incredible. I ate the pulled pork, the spare ribs, and the brisket, and all of it was delicious. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about gluten sensitivity, changing gloves and providing a gluten free menu. Go here. Go here now.

Always great, never had an issue here and I've eaten at this Mission BBQ probably a dozen times. Brisket, jalapeno sausage, and coleslaw are fantastic!

Staff was very knowledgeable about celiacs disease and took the necessary precautions. Alerted kitchen about my order immediately and after. “Pun?” The kitchen guy made sure my order was correct and used a safe cutting board for my brisket... so far so good. Will update later if I get sick! Otherwise 5 stars!!!! We will be back!
They have a gluten free menu. I didn't ask if they had a dedicated fryer (forgot and just trusted them). Ordered gluten free ribs and french fries. No reaction. I forgot which sauce has gluten (most are gluten free). Personally, I prefer getting takeout and using the BBQ sauces I have at home. You don't get charged extra for gluten free. Service and food is wonderful.
This is a great chain for Celiacs - they train their employees on gluten free AND celiac, they vocalize GF orders to the kitchen and they change their gloves, cutting boards, etc. All the sauces are reportedly GF but I’ve heard it’s best to be careful with the sauces that contain Worcestershire sauce bc they may swap out brands that aren’t GF.
Other allergies can be found if you Google search their allergen menu!

What a find! Mission BBQ has incredibly delicious food and really understands gf safety! It is counter service, and the server came around the counter to explain that their frier is gf so the French fries are safe, all the meats too. Of the sides only the cornbread, pasta and potato salad contain gluten. There were ample other side choices available. She called back to the prep area that there was a gf order also. I had brisket and fries. The brisket was some of the best I ever had, and the hand cut fries were amazing. All their BBQ sauces are gf too! The restaurant was very clean, and they are dedicated to veterans and active duty military so the decor was centered around that. Definitely somewhere i will retun to when i am in the area.

My husband and I ordered food here. I ordered letting them know I had an allergy and when he yelled back to let them know, the girl said “which one is has the gluten allergy? The sandwich?” I thought that was an odd question considering the sandwich is made on bread and bread contains gluten. That comment made me a little uneasy seeing maybe not everyone back there understand what a gluten allergy is. Food was good though and I didn’t feel sick after.

Great service, safe food. True American BBQ restaurant. They let the Kitchen know by mouth that it has to be Glutenfree. Even when the food is allready Glutenfree. To take care of safely preparing the food. Feels very good.
