Staff knowledgeable and manager oversaw order prep. Meats are excellent and many gluten free sides. Sides held in common area open to view. When busy cross contamination possible but easily seen watching order being prepared and corrected with apology. One sauce not gluten free but clearly disclosed when asked.

It's become one of my favorite places to go, especially since my diagnosis. They have plenty of gluten free options, and only one of their sauces isn't gluten free. They have a gluten-free menu to check out. When you order and let them know the meal needs to be gluten free, they ring it up on the register, and also call it out to let staff know. The turkey is by far my favorite, along with the Tupelo Honey Heat sauce.

Have ordered carry out several times with no issues. You must order gluten free so that they take precautions ( fresh gloves etc). They are very knowledgeable about which options are gf. They have a dedicated fryer and their fries are delicious. All sauces except one are gf. We have enjoyed the brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken, fries and coleslaw. Very happy with quality and options, as well as consistent knowledge of all staff. Definitely recommend.

Celiac’s don’t go! I picked up carry out this evening and I am in agony!!! :( Will not be giving this place a second chance. We ordered beef brisket, pulled pork, turkey, green beans, baked beans and coleslaw.

I saw Mission BBQ's ratings on here and decided to go. I called beforehand, as is my usual procedure, and spoke to the manager (Heather), who carefully detailed the specifics of the restaurant and added that they have many regulars who also have celiac disease and are familiar with how to avoid cross contamination. Heather personally prepared our food and brought it to us. All of their sauces except one are gf, but Heather also let us know about a sugar free sauce (Alabama White) that was perfect for my diet. The entire experience was lovely and the manager was very attentive. I have only one complaint. We ordered a side of collard greens and I stirred it before eating only to find a noodle lurking inside. The manager was very apologetic, and replaced the side with one that hadn't yet been on the line. Luckily, I caught it before I ate, but it may be helpful for other celiacs to request that their sides be taken from containers that haven't yet been on the line, to minimize cross-contamination.
Excellent food, many gluten free options. GM was able to have a great discussion about what options there were. All meats are GF and they GET IT! Completely recommend!

Fries are gluten free as well as most of the meats and sauces. They have a gluten free menu, just ask. Awesome food, never been sick.

Soooooooooo good!!! This place is friendly, clean and delicious. Almost everything is gluten free and the fried is exclusively for French fries! Yay! All barbecue sauces except the Texas Twang are GF. They are very aware of how to handle food for those with a gluten allergy and alert the kitchen. Nice to enjoy a “normal” meal with my family!!

I will definitely come back here!!!

Excellent food and they are careful with gluten free meals and happy to do so.
This is a great chain for Celiacs - they train their employees on gluten free AND celiac, they vocalize GF orders to the kitchen and they change their gloves, cutting boards, etc. All the sauces are reportedly GF but I’ve heard it’s best to be careful with the sauces that contain Worcestershire sauce bc they may swap out brands that aren’t GF.
Other allergies can be found if you Google search their allergen menu!

What a find! Mission BBQ has incredibly delicious food and really understands gf safety! It is counter service, and the server came around the counter to explain that their frier is gf so the French fries are safe, all the meats too. Of the sides only the cornbread, pasta and potato salad contain gluten. There were ample other side choices available. She called back to the prep area that there was a gf order also. I had brisket and fries. The brisket was some of the best I ever had, and the hand cut fries were amazing. All their BBQ sauces are gf too! The restaurant was very clean, and they are dedicated to veterans and active duty military so the decor was centered around that. Definitely somewhere i will retun to when i am in the area.

My husband and I ordered food here. I ordered letting them know I had an allergy and when he yelled back to let them know, the girl said “which one is has the gluten allergy? The sandwich?” I thought that was an odd question considering the sandwich is made on bread and bread contains gluten. That comment made me a little uneasy seeing maybe not everyone back there understand what a gluten allergy is. Food was good though and I didn’t feel sick after.

Great service, safe food. True American BBQ restaurant. They let the Kitchen know by mouth that it has to be Glutenfree. Even when the food is allready Glutenfree. To take care of safely preparing the food. Feels very good.
