The manager Heidi has always made sure to make a gluten free meal for my husband who has celiac disease. Customer relations and satisfaction are extremely important to her. There are lots of options to choose from as most of their meats and sauces are gluten free. They also have a dedicated fryer for french fries so he gets them frequently requesting extre crispy ones. He also can have the coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad and several other sides. The manager will also try to modify a dessert if at all possible for him like giving him the cherry cheesecake parfait without the graham cracker crumbs or leaving out the nilla wafers for banana pudding. We also always get the large plastic "Heros" cup since the sale of those goes to support various veteran, military, first responders causes.

This is a great chain for Celiacs - they train their employees on gluten free AND celiac, they vocalize GF orders to the kitchen and they change their gloves, cutting boards, etc. All the sauces are reportedly GF but I’ve heard it’s best to be careful with the sauces that contain Worcestershire sauce bc they may swap out brands that aren’t GF.
Other allergies can be found if you Google search their allergen menu!

What a find! Mission BBQ has incredibly delicious food and really understands gf safety! It is counter service, and the server came around the counter to explain that their frier is gf so the French fries are safe, all the meats too. Of the sides only the cornbread, pasta and potato salad contain gluten. There were ample other side choices available. She called back to the prep area that there was a gf order also. I had brisket and fries. The brisket was some of the best I ever had, and the hand cut fries were amazing. All their BBQ sauces are gf too! The restaurant was very clean, and they are dedicated to veterans and active duty military so the decor was centered around that. Definitely somewhere i will retun to when i am in the area.

My husband and I ordered food here. I ordered letting them know I had an allergy and when he yelled back to let them know, the girl said “which one is has the gluten allergy? The sandwich?” I thought that was an odd question considering the sandwich is made on bread and bread contains gluten. That comment made me a little uneasy seeing maybe not everyone back there understand what a gluten allergy is. Food was good though and I didn’t feel sick after.

Great service, safe food. True American BBQ restaurant. They let the Kitchen know by mouth that it has to be Glutenfree. Even when the food is allready Glutenfree. To take care of safely preparing the food. Feels very good.
