Had been going to Lupe on and off, but today I had a great waitress who went the extra mile to ensure we didn’t get cross contaminated. Sadly, they dry their chips in the same fryer as other gluten items. Additionally, the tortilla press used for corn tortillas is also used for flour. So your options are much more limited on the menu. Even then, they use a shared grill for many items. Maybe safe for sensitive folks but not for celiac. They do label the menu with items that cannot be made gluten free but failed to recognized cross-contamination makes most of their meals unsafe.

All items on menu are gluten free, except a few that are marked with a gluten symbol. Best fajitas in Texas. I’m celiac, and this is my main drag for anything Mexican. Thank you so much. Stay G-Free Lupe :)
Yes
Veggie fajitas were great! Lots of gf choices.
The menu is clearly labeled as far as what has gluten that cannot be removed. Be aware that the corn tortillas are made on the same press as he flour and the chips are fried in a shared fryer. The fajitas with no tortillas were excellent!

Manager took us to our table explaining kitchen and cross contamination. They make their own corn tortillas. Have dedicated gf area in kitchen so it's not 100% safe. Had the signature chicken lupe and corn tortillas and they were delicious and i did not have issues after dinner. Server Steven was celiac and very helpful. Outdoor patio with fire pits look like they could be fun in the fall. Menu clearly marked. My vegan-dairy allergy guest did not have as much to choose from. Atmosphere is stereotypical mexican fiesta but areas were clean and well maintained. Restrooms were clean.
Excellent options!
Large GF menu!
The food is fabulous, but I am really bothered with not being able to eat the chips at a Mexican restaurant. To me, that’s half the fun of eating there is enjoying chips and salsa prior to the meal arriving! When we ate there this week, the server told me that since the chips are fried in a shared fryer with the desserts that contain gluten, they are not considered safe for allergy or celiac. :( bummer!

Their fajitas are amazing. Queso was lacking. I say skip it. Most items are gf, so you can feel confident ordering. If you tell them you’ve never been there before they’ll bring you a sample of their fajitas. Just make sure to mention they need to be gf right away.

A Mexican restaurant that understands about Celiac disease. Their menu is marked with the items that gluten cannot be removed. All other items do not contain gluten. They are very aware and it’s a safe place to go and not worry about getting ill!

I was excited reading another review that said Lupe's chips were cooked in a dedicated fryer and almost dove into the basket on our table. Thankfully I waited and the waitress confirmed NOT a dedicated fryer at this location. She did offer baked tortillas that would take 15-20 minutes.
