We had an excellent dinner here and love that all their batter is gluten free! They have a wonderful variety of food and drink options. We loved that you can get so many items here that are typically hard to find at other restaurants that claim to have gluten free. Do yourself a favor and try the calamari…yum! Our server was very attentive and made our experience that much better. We can’t wait to go back!

Was really excited to try this. They really seem to strive to make this a safe place to eat. The waitress must have been new and was confused about their gluten free options. She did go and ask some questions, but our appetizer came out and I double checked and they definitely weren’t gluten free. They did fix the problem right away and brought out a new order with gluten free rolls on our sliders. At that point I was a little worried about the rest of the meal so the peace of mind was gone. Everything else was seemingly good. The food was ok. A little underwhelming for the price BUT i would go back simply because there are SO many options and hope for better service.

Absolutely amazing seafood and the number of choices for gluten-free were unbelievable. The entire fried food section including fish, etc. was gluten-free. Most of their signs appetizers, etc. are gluten-free. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time and definitely a place I will go every time I’m in Virginia Beach.

They have gluten free fried seafood, which was a great treat. I had the calamari and fish and chips. I love that they provide so many gluten free options.

Extensive gluten free listings. All fried items are GF in dedicated fried. Warm GF dinner rolls. Have been there twice since they opened. Food is fantastic. See pics.

Had GF calamari for $17 and it was tasteless. The spicy tuna sushi was very good. Service was horrible and food overpriced. My stomach also wasn’t quite right after.

My partner and I recently moved to the area and she is a severe celiac. We found Legal Sea Foods and it was off the charts good. The menu is clearly marked for gluten free options and they even had a GF mission statement. There was so much variety and everything we ordered was delicious. We definitely were not expecting GF dinner rolls fresh from the oven nor a fully fried GF fisherman's platter. My girlfriend was so ecstatic that she was finally able to have her first lobster roll. We ended the meal with GF cheesecake which was also delicious. We will definitely keep this high on our list of GF friendly restaurants. If you come in, look for Ben who was our server. He was excellent and took great care of us. He understood our GF needs and made sure everything was safely prepared.

Beyond impressed! The service is stellar. They make you feel welcome and as though it is no problem whatsoever to answer all your questions about gluten and whether there is cc. They seemed really informed about avoiding cc and could answer all our questions. Everything that goes in the fryer is gf because their batter for fried stuff is gf. 

The first time we went, our meal was cutting it close to their closing time. Despite that, our server was extremely friendly in answering all our questions and the manager even came over and was very friendly, and told us about desserts he recommends, and no one rushed us. The second time, the chef even brought our food out and introduced himself and assured us that he made sure everything was allergen-free. They also have "allergy runners" that bring the food out sometimes. The second time we went, they brought us gluten free rolls on the house before the meal. 

The food was delicious. They just added sushi to their menu. They have tons of fun specialty rolls they can make gf. We got the shrimp tempura roll and the only adjustment to make it gf was that they didn't put the extra tempura "flakes" on it (the shrimp itself still comes out as tempura/ fried in batter). The other ingredients (tobiko, spicy mayo, teriyaki, avo, cucumber) came on the gf version. We also ordered cioppino - there were no adjustments to it, except for bringing out gf bread to go with it instead of the non-gf bread it usually comes with. The cheesecake even had gluten free crust and felt fresh because of the seasonal fruit. 

The only small thing is that the server might put your silverware directly on the table (it's not wrapped in a napkin), so you might need to ask not to. I also saw that you can order online for pickup or delivery, but I haven't tried that yet. The main menu is marked with what can be modified to be gf. This location is in Kendall Square.

Amazing experience!! They really assure you that they take caution for gluten free foods, and have everything labeled on the menu. Even the ketchup on the table was gluten free!
