Found In-and-out during our trip through California and Nevada. As their protein-style burgers and fries are a no-brainer for gf meals, we went there more than once.

The fries are GF and so are the shakes! For burgers, ask for no bun and clarify that it’s an allergy. Had a great experience here and didn’t get sick!

Order "protein style" to get it wrapped in lettuce
As good as always. My wife loves this place and has never gotten sick

Had a few too many drinks at the bowling alley next door and came here desperate for animal style fries after. One of the best drunken experiences of my life. As a Californian celiac I will always plug In-n-Out - standardized procedures, detailed allergen menu online, I would go so far as to say possibly the most celiac-friendly burger chain out there!

I love eating here. Fries are GF and you can get Lettuce wrapped burger. When I order I tell them about my allergy and ask for them to change gloves to make mine I also ask for separate bag to avoid cross contamination from my husbands food. The milk shakes are GF as well!

Usually fine, we have had a few problems in the past with cross contamination. The issue happens at the end during packing or putting it on the tray, not during the cooking process.
Yes
Burger is fine. I had the double double on a lettuce wrap. YOU MUST get the animal style fries. They are good at lettuce wrapping though, stayed together way better than any other place I’ve eaten.
Yes
In-N-Out fries are safe. Last time I had a "protein style" burger I got sick. I don't know what they do for separating buns and patties on the grill but I eat fries all the time.
Amazing gluten free options (good for celiacs too), ask at the counter, we loved it
Yes
Marked gluten allergy on ticket. Protein style and I asked for packets of secret sauce on the side to protect from cross contamination. No issues.

All great and staff knowledgeable!

It is not fancy but you can’t beat it for a simple burger and fries joint. Patrons should mention the gluten allergy so the burger is made protein style. I will definitely return as I did not experience a reaction.
Their fries are gluten free! I had a double double with no bun. I was surprised to see it was served wrapped in lettuce, such a nice touch! First time at an In N Out, would highly recommend for anyone with Celiac.
Yes
No issues (celiac). Fast and cheap food!
Yes
Protein style everytime. Love it here
As always, can enjoy a decent burger, fries, and shake and not get sick. Just make sure they put gluten allergy on the order.
Yes
So excited to have in and out again-fries, shake and burger all safe (without bun) delicious! And no symptoms
Yes
First time here and it was amazing!! ordered it protein and animal style!
Had a protein option burger (lettuce wrap) and it was delicious! And the fries are also Gluten free!
Yes
🌾🚫 Gluten Free Items: Protein style (wrapped in lettuce) cheeseburgers and double doubles. Fries and shakes are also gluten free!
✴ Prior to ordering, let them know you have a gluten free order. I usually tell them
“gluten allergy” and they put an allergy alert on the order as well as a verbal notification to the back. If you don’t mention “allergy” you’re subject to cross contamination.
They will cook the patty on a new and/or cleaned surface to avoid cross contamination. When any gluten free or other allergy order is made, they will note it on your order and also verbally tell the kitchen.
🐶 In-N-Out locations have outdoor seating that are dog friendly. Unsalted and plain “Pup Patties” are available for $1.05 each!

I’m so happy that I’ve been able to safely eat at 2 In & Outs since being diagnosed. They clearly noted gluten allergy on the receipt and my food-was on a separate tray. I’ve gotten the same thing for years- hamburger, protein style, mustard grilled, grilled onions, no spread, extra veggies - and a fries. I tried doing a double double before and it’s too messy- if I’m that hungry I order 2! I wasn’t sure about the ketchup so I just asked for mustard packets for my fries.

spoke with manager who assured me they follow precautions, including glove change, separate prep, different spatulas etc but still got glutened.
unfortunately it’s probably impossible to safely eat at in n out consistently despite their attempts at managing CC

I have never had an issue once telling them it’s a Gluten Allergy. The only gluten in the store is the buns! I was told buns are toasted separately from where the burgers are cooked and the only thing even in the fries is the fries themselves.
