The Flour Bakery listed was closed. We had to go several miles to find another location.
They were out of gluten free bread by 10am, but it was 2 days after Xmas. They still had gf brownies and gf macaroon. They were very knowledgeable and offered to make a salad from a sandwich and then asked if it was for gluten allergy.

Delicious egg sandwich with gf bun. Loved the place, felt safe and had a very good meal without contamination!

I was so happy to find Flour! They have gluten free bread and can make any sandwich gluten free. I had been craving an egg sandwich and it was exactly what I wanted. They also ask whether it’s preference or allergy and take special measures. The sandwich came out marked. I also bought the boxed tuna citrus salad and a gluten free lemon bread for later and both were delicious. I had no issues.

I (gf celiac) came here because my gf friend (not celiac) recommended it. I ordered a gf sandwich and they asked if it was allergy or preference before I even got the chance to say allergy. They said they wrap the sandwiches in foil to toast them so they don’t come into contact with the toaster and seemed aware of cross contamination issues. I came here 2 times and didn’t get sick either time! Really great gf bread and sandwiches, so would definitely recommend.

They have gf bread which they make most of their sandwiches on. Some days they have a gf muffin or cookie. Not much choice and the risk of cc is ever present but I’ve been back a few times without incident. And, the sandwiches are good so I take the risk
Not sure how clean prep areas are- did see that the woman changed her gloves several times, and they did ask if it was preference or allergy. Bread was pretty good though- kinda like sub roll. I only went because work catered only sandwiches and it was right near by. It was my only option but I didn't get sick!
The gluten free options I've had were not great. And as the previous reviewer said - gluten is everywhere. All of the pastries are in the same area, etc.
Great. But it's called flour. It's everywhere. Highly doubt anything is actually edible for celiacs, but oh so delicious. Damn this disease.
No
Best creme brûlée and triple chocolate mousse dome EVER! Also have good salads, coffee, and other GF pastries.
So great! I go here everytime
I’m in Cambridge. Last I checked the gf goods are baked fresh but offsite.
It’s a little laughable that a place called flour has the best cross contamination management of all the bakeries/cafes around here.
If you can, order online and use the allergy designation.
Some favorites:
- seasonal gluten free muffins (made with yogurt and super moist and spongy), coconut chocolate is the current offering but my favorite is the orange cranberry
- tcho chocolate brownies (new this time, haven’t tried it)
- toast with butter and jam (made in a dedicated prep are and toaster, never got me sick)
- French toast (ditto the dedicated prep area)
- most any sandwich can be put on gf bread (today I got the roasted carrot sandwich as a salad)

Went to the drydock location - they have gf brownies and some cheesy looking pastry. Both are right in the middle of all the other pastries. I asked for a brownie from the back that hadn't had stuff dropped on it and the lady first gave me the other gf pastry and then when I was like uhh not a brownie, she gave me the bottom brownie on the plate stack. Definitely not eating it but it looks decent.

I love Flour and all of its locations. They are very knowledgeable about allergies, and have a decently sturdy gluten free bread that most of their sandwiches can be put on— only exception would be their grilled sandwiches or naan sandwich, which cannot be made gluten free. For sweets, they have a seasonal gluten free muffin that rotates flavor, a flourless cake and flourless brownie, as well as some meringues. I only wish they had gluten free savory pastries when you want something small, because while their sandwiches are delicious, they are somewhat pricy.

I got a pre made salad that was marked gf. I saw that they had bread for sandwiches and pastries in the case. I didn't explore their cross containing policies.
