They’re always great, they happily change their gloves when I mention I have an allergy! No bun necessary— way too much food as it is!

We eat here about once a week or so. I work long hours and when I get off work on Sunday I never feel like cooking. We have a few places in rotation and this is one of them. I always get a burger without a bun and fries. I've never gotten sick eating here and we go pretty frequently. They place my burger in a little aluminum pan and I just eat it with a fork and knife. I used to bring my own gluten free bun, but I stopped doing that just because the food is already so much and so filling that I really don't need the bun.
Really gone down hill recently. And this from a guy who first loved Five Guys in Charlottesville. Meat quality has declined. Fries weren't even good last time I went. The fries were cool, limp, short and had blemishes. We had to ask for aluminum pans in which to cut our burgers. They don't do wraps any more. It's more like a burger salad. I love their Coke machine, but not enough to compensate for everything else.
I can always count on Five Guys for a good safe meal. This location didn’t disappoint.

We visited this location twice while we were in town for a four day trip. One just for the fries and once for a full meal. They are very kind about adding extra notes and changing their gloves. You can even hear them talk while they’re preparing about keeping it separate and being careful. I felt safe and totally comfortable eating here on both occasions. They must have a really good manager because everybody that we encountered was very kind and willing to go the extra mile for an allergy.

Ordered just fries, explained my celiac. Seemed knowledgeable of what the fries contained and were cooked in. Asked person to change gloves when preparing the fries. The fry girl asked “what is the allergy?” He said “it’s gluten, just change your gloves anyway.” She acted irritated and my son said he didn’t see her change them. She’s probably the dedicated fry cook but likely touched something because instant pain after eating. Just listen when someone asks you to do something while preparing their food. Do not recommend eating here.

So great everytime, im never disappointed. i always get a burger but with a lettuce wrap instead, they always make it on a cleaned surface regardless of if they know it’s an allergy or not (if you order in store they also ask if it’s for an allergy!!) and it’s always great. i never have any symptoms. they also have gf fryers that only cook fries (so the fries are also safe and delicious). the milkshakes are safe as well (as long as you don’t add the oreo pieces). so good!

When you order gluten free the cashier yells out “allergy” and the ENTIRE line responds with “allergy” so everyone is aware. Someone changes their gloves and handles your order specifically. I ordered a lettuce wrap and didn’t have any issues. I didn’t order fries so I’m not positive about the fryer. But the communication alone makes this a top safe place for me!
