Burtons has a dedicated GF menu with lots of choices. My son ordered the burger and fries and he said it was delicious, especially the bun. Also, the server brought his food out first, then our food was brought out separately. Service was great. We will be back.

This restaurant has a full gluten free menu with a variety of plates to choose from including dessert! They have a menu dedicated to just Gluten Free!! The food is absolutely delicious too!! I was so impressed I had a GF fish sandwich with French fries so good. The server asked if cross contamination was a problem the first time I experienced that concern. I only wish it was closer to home.

I have been to this location multiple times and always felt safe eating here. Separate GF menu, separate dedicated fryer, they ask if anyone has allergies or dietary restrictions, and GF orders come out on a square plate. There is a good selection of GF items, my GF menu looked similar in size to my husband’s normal menu, they even offer GF dessert. I personally like the Mediterranean Chicken Risotto.

We just happened upon Burtons one evening . What a joy for a family where almost everyone has a gluten allergy. We also have someone with alpha Gale and shrimp allergies. They have a complete gluten free menu. Actually everything on the the regular menu can be fixed gluten fee but the key lime pie!! The servers are very familiar with allergies and they go to get lengths to insure your comfort with the food. On top of that, the food is delicious. They even have a gluten free bread service!

Loved this place. Great burger and fries and general Tao’s fried cauliflower. I have been to the location in Charlottesville as well. Felt safe. Good flavor. Did not get sick.

Wait staff wrote special allergy cards for each of us (3/4 of us have food intolerances and allergies including celiac). When kitchen staff brought food out they repeated our allergies back when bringing food. Very impressive and felt totally safe. Food was excellent and will return to a Burton's if ever in the area.

My first time having shrimp it is now my 2 favorite food. The staff is super understanding about food allergies of all kind they even have a note at the bottoms of the menus. They change the oil every morning and get the food out to you fast.Everything starts out GF and is deliciously prepared, they have wide range of gluten free food, and was one of the best experience I’ve ever had. It is perfectly season with salt and pepper, and other spices. The cheese cake is sweet, rich, and creamy. I definitely suggest going there if your in Boca Raton, Florida, or Alexandria, Virginia or in the area!

First time eating here. I was pleasantly surprised. They offer a separate gluten free menu that from what I can tell, had a lot of the same items as the main menu. I ordered the General Tso cauliflower appetizer. They confirmed it was GF when they brought it to the table and again with the main course. Food was good without compromising on the flavor. We recently moved to Virginia and used the app to find some tasty places. Burton’s went well above any expectations. Upon entering we were asked if we would like gluten free menus and I was beside myself. The service was incredible, and the food was mouthwatering and delicious. I am a frequent flyer at Burtons Grill in Alexandria,Virginia. The ease in completing an online order makes it even better and the curbside pick up is efficient. They have never gotten my order wrong, and the fish sandwich and general tso’s cauliflower are absolutely delicious and are my favorites. Excellent service and a dedicated GF menu. The GF menu was almost the exact as the non GF but with GF pasta substitutes etc. My husband was so excited because he got to enjoy crab cakes for the first time in many years. Definitely going again!

I first went to this restaurant in CT and was ecstatic to learn they had a location by me in VA. With one or two exceptions they can pretty much do the entire menu gf. This includes the iron skillet side of mac & cheese. They have a clear/strict system for avoiding cross contamination and I have never gotten sick. All gf dishes come out on square plates. I love the maple sriracha wings, burger (complete with onion straws we can eat), pretty much all the appetizers, and salads. The staff are all well trained and take it very seriously. You basically can’t go wrong here.

Amazing! I’ve been here a couple of times, this is my third. I first heard about it here, raving about their gluten free options.

What I didn’t realize was this….their menu for GF nearly mirrors their regular menu! I had to ask because I wasn’t sure if I had the correct menu!! 🧐

Also! Our waiter informed us that the reason the menu is so robust is that the owner has Celiac! This explains so much! 🤩

To add! Our own waiter couldn’t deliver my food, or touch it because he hasn’t completed his allergen training! 🤯 (he’s been here for about 2 months….VERY knowledgeable!)

Food was delicious - so nice to be able to enjoy things like fried fish (sandwich) with fries. I can't eat dairy so the server talked to the chef who made an accomodation on the scallop appetizer (skipped creaming the corn and made a corn hash of sorts) which my husband said he would have eaten a bowl full of without the scallops! We skipped dessert since there was not much the chef could recommend that was both GF and DC but we were also so full from our appetizer and entrees it didn't matter.

My younger brother has celiac and said “this is the best meal I’ve ever eaten”. I have celiac too and truly appreciated the options. The gluten free menu is just as long with as many options as the regular menu. They make everything from scratch in order to accommodate food allergies. I was very comfortable with the safety of the food. They had separate servers bring the gluten free food out. It was delicious and we loved being able to order things like fried fish, pasta, sandwiches and burgers on gluten free buns, and cake. Honestly so good, I can’t wait to bring my mom who has celiac to this place.

Fantastic experience time after time. They really know their food, and what's better: they know their allergies. Most of their food is inherently gluten free and they are hyper aware of gluten as an allergen. They present a gluten free menu that I assumed was the real menu, because it had most of the food on it. Burger was phenomenal, probably the best I've ever had. Gluten free bun and the highest quality beef you could ask for. Great atmosphere and good service. Gluten free beers on tap, as well as ciders. Will visit again

I can have fried foods here! I have had the fried haddock and fried shrimp here and it is very good! Not traditional fish and chips in terms of crunchy, but very good! They do mention cross contamination with the fryer. Staff asks specifically about food allergies which is nice.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Not only was the food amazing, but I got to eat French fries for the first time in years because of their dedicated fryer. My server (Bryan) was so knowledgeable and helpful with everything. One of the first questions he asked us was if anyone had any food allergies. He took the time to explain the menu to me and my husband and explained how only employees who were specifically trained in food allergies can handle your food. All gluten free food comes out on a square plate, whereas other food comes out on a circular plate. He was super informative and had taken the training to be able to handle my food for me. I did not get sick from anything and left feeling full and happy. I will be back for sure!

This is my go-to restaurant. As in, I eat here 3-4 times a month.

They are very conscious about following procedures to ensure your food is safe. Food comes out marked as allergen sensitive- even when you order take out.

They can make almost everything on the menu gluten free. Fries! Crab cakes! Pasta! Burgers! Wings!

The staff was friendly and didn’t hesitate at all when I mentioned CD. They had a dedicated GF menu that was offered right at the hostess stand. All of my food came out on square plates (as opposed to round). Food was delicious, I ate without stress, and still feel great the next day! Will be back.

By far the best (and safest) place to eat in Alexandria! Such great food, they take cross contamination seriously and we always have a great experience. Great food! Lunch staff isn’t as good as their dinner staff but still a good experience.

In my opinion, the Burton's chain is the gold standard for allergen safety. I have been to several locations up the east coast, but this one just opened up close to home. Just like the other locations, the food is delicious. Gluten free aside their menu is excellent. They have separate area for prep, separate fryers. Gluten free food is always brought out on a different shaped plate than regular items (square vs circular) usually by a manager to distinguish. I was invited to the grand opening and they accommodated most dishes to be GF for everyone! My favorite dish is the risotto & brunch burger! Their gluten free bread service is also out of this world! Staff is also great at this location! There are even some GF items only on the happy hour menu. Never once been glutened after eating at a burtons! Run, don't walk to support this awesome new local spot perfect for celiacs!

Wow! This was a really exciting experience. Expansive GF menu. The staff is knowledgeable and able to accommodate other allergies. The focaccia bread service was amazing. I had the chicken piccata and it was wonderful. It’s so exciting to have a restaurant in the area that takes allergies/dietary restrictions seriously and serves fresh and delicious food. Added bonus, the GF menu prices were the same as the regular menu.
