Pizza was great however, cross contamination has me nervous. I saw the employee handling regular dough hand the gal that was going to make my GF pizza the black liner. I called it out and asked to please have a glove change with a new liner. They did it with no questions asked. Gal got sauce from a different area. All seemed great. Then the employee that got my pizza out of the oven placed my pizza down. When he moved it the black liner wasn't completely covering the table where part of my pizza was placed. Unfortunately, I will be the next test subject of possible cross contamination at Blaze Pizza.

Contamination every direction. I got very sick. Delicious but not gf safe.
No
Delicious gf crust. I told them I had celiac, and the staff changed their gloves when they made my pizza. They used separate sauce & cheese for my pizza. I’ll definitely come back.
Yes
Delicious crust but high today of cross contamination. The gf crust is kept separate and is placed on a barrier when cooking in the same oven as the regular pizzas. It's the toppings where contamination is most likely, as even if they change gloves, sauce is doled out from same containers and spread using the utensil that lives in the sauce. Gloves touch and retouch all toppings.
No
They have GF crust option and most toppings are GF. But they are not trained in handling to not cross contaminate and the process looks like contamination is very likely. They changed gloves but then touched multiple surfaces that visibly had wheat crumbs on it! As the pizzas go down the line they all hang over the topping containers along that edge, which includes the cheese. I watched baffle boards of regular dough go down the line with the dough literally hanging off the paddle board sipping into the topping containers and touching the toppings, not to mention the lose flour dripping off these boards and contaminating the whole line. When asked which toppings are GF, they said everything. I saw meatballs and asked “are you sure.” They then looked around for a list and found the meatballs were not gf..... so not “everything” which is too big an “oops” when told to handle for an “allergy” to wheat. This is by no means Celiac friendly. Not trained. Not knowledgeable. Not taking precaution to not cross-contaminate. I’m not the one with Celiac so I can tell you their food tastes great but it isn’t to be trusted for those that can’t have GF.

best crust dairy free options so glad 5
Yes
Very impressed! Ask if you would like for them to switch their gloves, get sauce from a different bin and place crust on a mat so your pizza doesn't touch the grill with all the gluten on it, and make sure to use different tongs and pizza slicer. And delicious!!
The set-up allows u to watch them make it which was great. Great tasting pizza!
Yes
They are careful to use different utensils and ask if they should change their gloves when making a gluten free pizza. Their gluten free crust is great!
They always do glove changes for my two celiac kids. One has a dairy allergy too and they have never gotten sick!

Typically staff will comply with a glove change and use separate utensils and ingredients from below, but I've had a couple of instances where I've communicated my intolerance and staff have looked me in the face and asked "Is it ok if I don't actually accommodate" or "do you actually need this"? Needless to say, I got sick. More recently even when they followed protocol I still got glutenated.

Good experience here - person who took order made the person who made my GF crust pizza change gloves, and they used a special mat under the pizza in the oven. But of course he had the usual “we cannot guarantee …” disclaimer. No GF dessert options though.

Don’t trust this place!!!! SO MUCH CROSS CONTAMINATION it’s a nightmare. And if you tell them it’s an allergy: prepare for a staff temper tantrum. Unreal. I threw my pizza away rather than risk getting sick.

The BEST pizza! They have gluten free and dairy free options which is awesome. I’ve never had a bad reaction here, the food is excellent and the staff are very knowledgeable. They change gloves, utensils, everything. I love coming here!
