All i was given was a clueless face. Would not recommend unless you want to spend time explaining what gluten is.
I have eaten here at least once/month for the last 18 months and never had a problem (and I'm very reactive to gluten). The staff always changes the gloves without being asked to do so, follows the protocol of no one else handling my dish except for the person who is making it, and takes toppings from under the counter or in the back where other staff have not reached in with (potentially) contaminated gloves. Chipotle is one of my safe, go-to places in Williamsburg.
Yes
Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
I have 7 allergies (gluten, peas, pork, avocados, tomatoes, broccoli and almonds) which makes eating out extremely difficult. Most of their items are gf. Don't order the corn tortilla as they warm it in the same iron as the flour tortillas. I've gotten sick here before but it may be from the corn salsa. Sometimes I have problems with corn.
Yes
Unfortunately at this location I've had quite a bit of attitude from some of the college-aged staff when it comes to ordering a GF meal. They just don't get it and get frustrated by changing gloves.
Thay where vary help full. I had one of the rice bowls with all the fixins.
The burrito bowls are always a safe bet.I have celiac and have not had any issues eating there.

😭🥰 I just had the best experience here! I felt a little anxious as it was the peak of lunch time, but the line was incredible! They took out the utensils, cleaned the bar, and were gracious. The food it delicious! I made sure to tell the manager how great her staff was. I’ll be back.

Stopped here for lunch while traveling through the area. I asked the first person to change their gloves. They didn’t understand, but another employee helped explain. I had to ask the next employee down the line let the first person continue to add the toppings. There was much confusion about this. I guess it was ok in the end because I didn’t get sick. But I wouldn’t recommend this location. The rice tasted different and they were completely out of ice. Warm soda topped off a pretty frustrating experience.

Of the local locations it’s the best. But still not great. They’ll take the precautions as needed. But, and fully understanding why, at lunch rush you’ll have to wait and they’ll be obviously upset. And the drive thru/ online order is always cross contaminated.

Ordered online which might have been a mistake. They have the option to select and allergy and I was careful with my ordering and making notes, but still got sick.
