Are the french fries at five guys safe for someone with celiac disease?
alena2876 Yes! Just ask them to use the separate fryer.
kathryn1329 Yes because other than the burger and hot dog buns everything is already gluten free. They don’t need a separate fryer because they only cook gluten free. Definitely let them know if your condition. They will take extra precautions like changing gloves and care around bread products. 4 replies
nat48643 Yea they are ! They are great and one of my favorites
amy57 Yes but always double check when ordering. They’ve told me that the fries are the only thing that go in the fryers
minmin At the branch I visited, everything I had was separate - the buns, burgers, mushrooms, and onions all had their own grills divided by little walls, and the fries were the only thing in the frier. Nothing is made with flour in the restaurant. They are a global chain at this point though, so as the others have said, ask.
cruzinstephie Yes, they don’t fry anything else so no cross contamination. Just ask them to change their gloves.
Kirag19 they are celiac but be careful as celiac folk tend to have multiple allergies they do cook their fries in peanut oil.
clare324 yes but some franchises are careful re cross contamination and some aren't. I love it!
