Ate here while attending a conference across the street. The waiter was knowledgeable and confirmed that I needed gluten free due to Celiac. When our food was brought out, we confirmed that it was gluten free and the waiter gave us the tip that all gluten free meals are served in red bowls, so if you ever get something in a non-red bowl, that’s a clue that it’s probably not gluten free. Food was tasty!

We had high hopes. My celiac daughter has been previously and enjoyed lettuce wraps. Tonight we took mg celiac (very sensitive) son. The service was absolutely horrible and I feel bad criticizing wait staff. We had reservations at 5:30 and left close to 7:45. The server didn’t understand celiac but assured me the GF items would be fine. Odd they don’t mark edamame as GF? We had that and lettuce cups. Then we had beef fried rice which they can make GF and spicy chicken. The chicken made me panic as you could tell it was fried. By this point the “manager” brought it to our table to deliver it because it had been 45 mins. They said GF takes longer, no problem if that is the case. The manager had no idea what it was made or or fried in. I completely forgot to ask about cross contact in the fryer. He did return to tell Me the breading was corn starch and potato flour. Phew. The best part was the chocolate soufflé dessert. The kids all in all enjoyed the insanely long dinner but my son was not feeling well within the hour and was showing symptoms of being glutened. Lesson learned, we would not return and would head down the street to Cooper’s Hawk instead.

Honestly. I love P.F. Chang’s. I’m not sure how good about cross contamination this particular location is. Every time I have tried it here and ordered specifically off of the gluten free menu and listed that I have celiac- I have had a terrible reaction. Eat with caution

PF Changs is one of my favorite restaurants to go to. They have a separate gluten free menu. They use specific plates with the restaurant logo on the rim to further confirm it is gluten free. Staff is good about answering questions and communicating with the kitchen staff. I have Celiac and have eaten there for years. Never gotten sick.

P.F. Chang's used to be my go to spot when I was traveling. Not any more. Probably like all chains, I have found that the quality varies greatly, particularly by region. The food was OK at this location, compared to others, but the celiac friendliness was at the very bottom and well below acceptable. They did seem to have a separate prep area that was used to fix my spicy chicken, but it came without rice. When I asked for rice, the person just pointed to the family style big bowel of rice that was in the middle of the table. I explained that was probably not going to work for me and asked if I could have my own rice from the separate prep area - and gluten free trio sauce. The person went to what looked like the regular kitchen and brought me back both. Not wanting to be too needy I did not question this and gave him the benefit of the doubt that he grabbed me the correct food. I should not have done that and was unable to finish my meal - and was sick.

Food was awful and to make matters worse I’m sick. If your going to “gluten” me at least feed my yummy food.
Several options. I always get the egg drop soup to go when sick. Never have had any issues. Can't wasn't until they open up a location in southern JOCO.
I live in Springfield, MO (3 hrs away) & we're known for Spfld Style Cashew Chicken. Sadly, not 1 restaurant in town serves GF Cashew Chicken & there's only 1 Chinese place in town that has a real GF Menu. I have to say, I was nervous about eating here in August as we had a 3+ hr drive home & did not want to be "Celiac sick" the entire way as I get sick QUICK! I had absolutely NO ISSUES!!! I had Chicken Fried Rice & LOVED IT! Better than any place in my hometown or area. My husband got his Beef & Broccoli Gluten Free so I could taste his & that was also AMAZING!!!! We have to come back to KC for some more testing @ KU Hosp for my hubby & I've already informed him if we don't eat here, I want take-out to bring home...I'm taking a cooler w me for drinks so why not!?! Beyond pleased w my meal & service! THANK YOU!!!!!

One of my favorite restaurants in KC and they have a very good knowledge of gluten-free. I have eaten there many times and have never had a reaction. Food quality is exceptional and be sure to save room for the Chocolate Dome dessert. Several GF choices on the menu. I recommend this restaurant as a safe place for celiacs.

Plenty of gluten free options clearly marked on the menu. Our waitress was very good about repeating my order back and saying “Gluten Free Fried Rice” etc.
Very yummy!

2018: The one time we dined in I got sick, So we get food to go and haven’t had a problem. When I did get sick we spoke to a manager and she made sure to go the extra mile and monitors the kitchen more closely now. Update: 5/2024 hubby treated me to gluten free fried rice for teacher appreciation week (love my job!) and unfortunately there must’ve been some gluten in there. We have visited here a couple times per year and this is the second time I have been glutened so unfortunately I will not be back. Tums are a true friend right now.

I asked our server on two separate occasions about how they prepare the food and they both told us they prepare the gluten free dishes in a separate area of the kitchen. They have gluten free soy sauce packets as well if you ask. I come here regularly and the food is good. Gluten free dishes come out on a different colored plate too.
