MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes

Just to update everyone, it's 2024 and there is still an issue at mooyaa. I just ate a GF burger, told them I had an allergy. I am now stuck in their bathroom dealing with the consequences.... The burger was pretty good though.

They may have been celiac friendly a year ago, but not any more. I am on day 6 of being "glutened" after ordering a burger which must have been cross contaminated with enough crumbs to cause my symptoms. The previous time we ordered, they put my gluten free burger underneath my husband's regular burger in the bag. I do not thing the staff is being trained on what "I have an allergy" means, which is a shame because I enjoy(ed) their burgers.

The food was excellent and Cheyenne was so knowledgeable about allergies and cross contamination! She was able to explain how they sanitize the shake machine between shakes to avoid cross contamination of not only gluten, but peanut butter (Reese’s Shake) for those with peanut allergies! She also warned me against the fries due to shared fryers. I so appreciate being able to eat somewhere I feel safe without fear of getting “glutened.” Thanks for looking to see what brand the GF buns are because it was super yummy! On the shakes, they are more like concretes... that’s a good thing! It means it wasn’t soupy even after I finished my burger! Perfect!

Staff handles the prepacked GF buns correctly. Fries are in shared fryer but hamburger is good and always feel safe eating here in Sherman store.

The staff is very aware of how to handle gluten free food! GREAT gluten free bun. Fries are not gluten free I have been told!

Not sure about the fries, but one of the best burgers and gluten free buns I’ve ever enjoyed!

Cashier was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their practices. Explained without me asking that they use seperate fryers for fries and will change gloves to prepare our order. They offer gluten free buns. The food was delicious, and my daughter had no reactions to anything. We will he eating again.

The bun falls apart so it’s disappointing. The beef taste good. I would rather get it wrapped in lettuce

I had a great time ordering my food. I asked my burger to be in a lettuce wrap since I did not want to pay extra for a gluten free bun. The meat was so tender and the strawberry milkshake was so good! I had no issues afterwards. The guy at the counter didn’t know a lot of English but understood how I wanted my order made and even reminded me to took off the onion! They don’t necessarily have a gluten free menu but you can just substitute the buns. I’m unsure if any of the sauces are gluten free though so I would definitely ask about that, or just remove the sauce just to be safe.

I ordered DoorDash and I ordered the burger wrapped in lettuce but instead I got a regular bun. This is the first time this has happened and I am very annoyed. Btw I don’t have celiac I have a gluten intolerance. But I was still very annoyed especially since I paid a good price for it
