The food is delicious and they made sure the fries were cooked separately.

Mission BBQ in Columbia is fantastic! They go above and beyond to ensure no cross-contamination. When I mention that I need gluten free, they alert the entire staff, and the folks that handle my food change their gloves. Sometimes their seasonal Black Plate Specials are gluten free, too, so be sure to ask! (In the summer they have grilled shrimp, and it is AMAZING!) Their French Fries are also safe.

This is the second location I have eaten at. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I am sensitive to cross-contamination and did I not get sick either time. Fries are in a dedicated fryer.

Very big GF offerings, but I recommend researching online before you go. Everyone seems to know what is GF, but they don't have anything written up for you to study in line.
Personally I love ordering the smaller salad, adding 2 meat toppings, and having the fries with it. Husband likes this place, everybody is happy.
Great GF menu! Dedicated fryer

Great food, great service, and super clean. As soon as I finished ordering the person who took my order yelled back "gluten free" several times and I watching the line all change their gloves and get new utensils. Ribs were delicious and a staff member even came by to let me know 5/6 sauces at my table were gluten free and which one to avoid. Highly recommend.

This was a great option for our family! They did add the cornbread in with the meat, but the cornbread was wrapped in foil, so it ended up being ok. We ordered online, so I couldn't verbally ask them to leave the cornbread separate.

Mission BBQ is a growing BBQ chain with a heavy veterans theme. They even play the national anthem every day at noon. Anyway, the BBQ is good, assuming your not comparing to BBQ from your local NC, TX, TN, KS place. They have a gluten free menu, which is basically their regular menu less the sandwiches and 1 BBQ sauce, the TX one. Staff is well aware and will remind you if the TX sauce being gluten containing. Good place.

Followed the reviews and stopped in to immediately see a GF menu next to the register. Cashier got my order in, relayed to the kitchen team that it’s GF and a few minutes later, meat, veggies. Sure do wish they has a GF cornbread but what can you do.
