Libby’s is a must stop in London. I've been waking up early to schlep across London for their pasties since they only had their Notting Hill branch - how far they've come!

Do note: There are three locations, though Belsize Park is generally considered the flagship. Their menu offerings are the most extensive at this location, with a wider variety of pastries and cafe items. This is why I'm reviewing Belsize Park.

Their kitchen is entirely gluten free, as are all of their pastries and cafe items. They even now import certified gluten free Oatly from the US! Previously they did not use any added sugar, though now bake with a "responsible level" of sugar. Their staff, and the owners (Libby's is named for their daughter!), are all lovely people. You'll feel right at home.

What to get? Obviously the croissant, the pain au chocolat, the cinnamon roll, and don't miss the bagels - seriously, I rate these the best gluten free bagels on this side of the Atlantic. I think they briefly stopped making pizza to accommodate demand for pastries in Herne Hill, but be sure to order one when they're back. Their blueberry cheesecake pastry buns are a bite of heaven, as well.
