I found sesame seeds in my burger bowl. To my knowledge, the only item with sesame seeds would be the buns, which means my order was highly likely to have been cross-contaminated despite the gluten allergy request.

Figured out why I got glutened here, they share the mayo spreader with the buns. Since then, when I order I remind them to use new mayo and I haven’t had a problem. They have also been very friendly and accommodating.

They asked if the kids meals was allergy or preference. When I told them allergies they changed gloves had one guy in charge of the order and made sure it was done right. Thankful for this place and will definitely be coming back!!
First- tell them you need GF, don’t just order the the lettuce wrap. If you tell them they make sure the person touching the buns doesn’t touch your food. If you get the lettuce wrap “all the way” it’s going to be messy but delicious! I love it because I can get the fries too! Some of the young kids at the register don’t know what Celiac’s is but if you explain the cross contamination issue they get it and make sure the people on the line do too!

They will lettuce wrap the burger for you no problem and it is a great burger. The fries have made me sick even though they claim they are gluten free. Overall they are really good about cross contamination if you let them know.
I saw Susan's review and wanted to make sure everyone knew five guys is super careful with cross contamination but only if you tell them! when I asked what their gluten free options were he said they had their lettuce wrap and then just a burger bowl, I decided on the lettuce wrap. Then he specifically asked me about cross contamination and yelled to the crew to make sure they knew they had to be careful with mine. the lettuce wrap was awesome by the way and they give you more than enough so to act as an actual bun although I would reccomended not ordering as many sauces with the lettuce wrap, it'll be plenty juicy on its own(:
Yes
No GF buns, but really good lettuce wraps. Everything is GF on the menu except buns and malt vinegar! Even the Cajun fries are! :-)

I'm happy to be able to eat here with my family. Everything has been good so far.
I watched them make the burgers. Looked like a lot of possibility for cross contamination. I just ordered a lettuce wrap burger and didn't tell them I was GF. Maybe they change gloves etc. if you tell them about your GF status.
Quite good! Lots of menu options.
Super yummy! I've eaten here three times and did not get sick! Let them know it's an allergy and they will change their gloves. The fries are gluten free. And all of their shakes except the Oreo that go into the Oreo shakes are gluten free. However, I'm cautious with getting shakes here because they use the same machine for all the shakes. And of course oreo is their most popular. Lol.

A favorite location of ours - they always thoughtfully ask if our "no bun" request is preference or allergy, and the Burgers are cooked on a separate grill from where the buns are toasted.

This has been one of best places to go to since I found out I had Celiac. Their food is delicious, I can have all of their burgers in a bowl or lettuce rap and they have a dedicated frier. It's one of the few places I can get french fries, you can request a glove change by simply telling them you have an allergy.

My mom and I (both celiac) at at this restaurant on our way to and from the UP. Both times the staff was very careful about our allergies, making sure to change gloves and keeping who worked on our food to a limited number to avoid cross contamination. We are both very sensitive and had no issues.

Went here today. Ordered little cheeseburger in lettuce. Told them we have a gluten allergy and they provided a separate bag and used new gloves to prepare the burger.
