The Cheesecake Factory

I have eaten here a handful of times since being diagnosed as gluten intolerant. They have a pretty extensive gluten free menu, but I’ve had mixed results in eating there safely. I think it comes down to which server you get and how seriously they take your gluten allergy. The first 3 times I ate there, I was fine. Then over the next 3 times, I got sick 2/3 times, unfortunately.

If you ever come here ask to sit in wendys section! Shes a celiac waitress and she went above and beyond for my sister and I who are both celiac. From bringing us gluten free toasted bun to telling us what all on the menue is gluten free. Such as the orange chicken that I thought I couldnt eat again! I had such an amazing time here and definitely recommend it to anyone!

Excellent lunch! I saw the poor ratings and decided to go anyway. Our lunch was beautifully plated and delicious. Our server was dedicated and our glasses were refilled promptly. The menu is clearly marked with gluten free options. There are also three cheesecake choices that are gluten free. I had the gf shepherds pie lunch portion and I couldn’t finish it all. It was very flavorful and I had no reaction. I was very pleased with my experience. My daughter and husband didn’t eat gluten free but their food was also wonderful from what they said. They had the cauliflower tacos and the chicken salad sandwich / butternut squash soup and green salad. We will be back!

Cheesecake factory has such a huge menu, it’s kind of sad how few gluten free menu items they actually have. I decided to give this place a go anyways because the Godiva gf cheesecake is pretty darn amazing. For my entree, I decided to try the chicken soft tacos because they seemed the least likely to be subject to cross contamination. The waiter just nodded when I told him I have a gluten allergy, so that should have been a red flag. He didn’t write it down, just said, “Yeah yeah, don’t worry the tacos you ordered are already gluten free.”Well my food came out cold and the tacos were mediocre at best but I was there for the cheesecake anyways. That was the only time I ate out that day, so later that night when I got sick, I think I can safely assume Cheesecake Factory was the culprit. They probably did not employ proper food handling precautions because the waiter failed to communicate it to anyone in the kitchen. Or maybe even if he did, there is just a greater chance of contamination at places with huge menus like Cheesecake Factory. Either way, if you have Celiac disease, I would NOT eat here. Just don’t.

I loved going to the Cheesecake Factory until recently. I usually order pasta and salad. Every time I go, I ask which salad dressings are gluten free and I ALWAYS get a different answer. Lately I have been getting different types of pasta noodles as well. I ask over and over if they are sure it is gluten free pasta. Each time they reassure me. Needless to say, I spoke with a manager and only one type of pasta is gluten free. That means that half the time I've been eating there, I am getting a meal full of gluten!!! I feel sick after I eat there every time now. I will not be returning. They don't understand Celiac or even what gluten is.

The main menu clearly shows gluten free items AND they have gluten free pasta! The pasta was delicious, which is always hit or miss, but it was definitely a hit for me!

I had a cheeseburger on a gf bun and it was amazing. The Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake is to die for.

Visiting the area & found they had GF (mine at home 3 yrs ago did not) pleasant surprise! Had pasta with chicken and it was good, corn tamale cakes great! Took home the Godiva cheesecake! No problems. Will revisit mine at home to see if they have GF.

I ordered the green salsa chicken enchiladas (they are made with corn tortillas), which came with a side of rice and beans. It was delicious!

I have several allergies including gluten. I am not Coeliac but very sensitive to gluten so this is not a gluten- free kitchen. The waitress was knowledgeable and ensured my burger was prepared separately. She went through all the ingredients and advised accordingly. It was a real treat as I struggled during my holiday with my food allergies.

Not many gluten free meal options and only 3 cheesecake options. Definitely not the safest option but very good if you are willing to risk it.
