I got a "Certified gluten-free" pizza from their GF pizza list. (4 on the list) I got the pizza to go. It was delicious! The crust is obviously made off-site and is really good! I got the BBQ Chicken gf pizza and I had no issues.
CPK is usually one of my favorite places to go because it's certified gluten-free, it's tasty and I'm never gotten sick. Until now. Last night I ordered one of the certified gluten-free pizzas off the special gluten-free menu. I had two slices of it and realized there were green onions under the crust on my plate. I instantly knew it was trouble. I hoped for the best assuming maybe just maybe only that green onion happened to touch my plate. I always show symptoms 24 hours after eating bad food and sure enough 24 hours later, im currently sick to my stomach. I can only assume that they did not use safe practices and that they cross contaminated my food. Not going back to this location.
I had two items off the gluten free menu and immediately after I had a reaction. Please be sure that there is no cross contamination. I will speak to a manager about this in more detail. I really love cpk and would hate to not be able to eat there.
They have cauliflower crust for pizzas. Can’t confirm if they took precautions to cook in separate oven, or if other ingredients are GF as well.

It seems as though their kitchen has started slipping. I was gluttened last night after going to this location for over two years. My meal came out for the first time without a gluten free marker. Be very careful!

Ordered the mushroom, pepperoni and sausage pizza twice. I told the kitchen i was celiac, they informed me that the GF pizza is prepared ahead of time and kept in a separate fridge. The pizzas stay on the tinfoil when put into the oven (shared with gluten pizzas). However, the second time I went, they didnt change the gloves, and started using them to add pepperoni to my pizza. I saw and asked if they were new gloves and they said no- and made me a new pizza. I would be careful when dining here because it does not seem to be consistent

Went here tonight and the chicken pizza was the best I have had since Coeliacs disease 5 years ago. Thin crispy base, yum. Waiter was knowledgeable and pizza came out with a gf flag on it. Wish I had a place like this in Australia.

Very good pizza, even better service! If you don’t mind restaurant chains and you’re looking for a good place to eat Gluten Free, put California Kitchen on your list!
