My son was recently diagnosed with Celiac, so I went into this particular blaze because my niece (who is celiac) said the franchise is very careful about cross contamination. I wanted to see how they handle the seriousness of celiac. Unfortunately, this particular one was not. Gloves were changed and a special silicone pad was used on the board, but that felt like the extent of it. Although my paper was labeled for an allergy, the employee was about to use the same sauce she used on the line of regular crusts before. When I asked if she had a sauce for people with allergies, she said yes. Then she proceeded to put all the same toppings that had been used on all the regular pizzas on mine. Finally, when the pizza came out of the oven, they used the same pizza cutter that they had been using on all the regular pizzas. I was so disappointed. I definitely do not feel safe recommending this Blaze unless you are ready to be vocal at every step of the process. If you are just intolerant to gluten, it’s probably ok. But for someone with Celiac, I would be very cautious at this Blaze.

They always do glove changes for my two celiac kids. One has a dairy allergy too and they have never gotten sick!

Typically staff will comply with a glove change and use separate utensils and ingredients from below, but I've had a couple of instances where I've communicated my intolerance and staff have looked me in the face and asked "Is it ok if I don't actually accommodate" or "do you actually need this"? Needless to say, I got sick. More recently even when they followed protocol I still got glutenated.

Good experience here - person who took order made the person who made my GF crust pizza change gloves, and they used a special mat under the pizza in the oven. But of course he had the usual “we cannot guarantee …” disclaimer. No GF dessert options though.

Don’t trust this place!!!! SO MUCH CROSS CONTAMINATION it’s a nightmare. And if you tell them it’s an allergy: prepare for a staff temper tantrum. Unreal. I threw my pizza away rather than risk getting sick.

Pizza was great however, cross contamination has me nervous. I saw the employee handling regular dough hand the gal that was going to make my GF pizza the black liner. I called it out and asked to please have a glove change with a new liner. They did it with no questions asked. Gal got sauce from a different area. All seemed great. Then the employee that got my pizza out of the oven placed my pizza down. When he moved it the black liner wasn't completely covering the table where part of my pizza was placed. Unfortunately, I will be the next test subject of possible cross contamination at Blaze Pizza.
